• I would like to rent an apartment in the center of Venice, do you have any?
Yes, all of our apartments are in Venice. Be careful when you reserve "Venice" apartments on the web as often they are in Venice province, places like Mestre, Mira, Marghera and so on. These are NOT in Venice itself and you'll need a bus/car/train to get to Venice.

  • I would like to rent an apartment, but I don't know how long, is it possible to proceed anyway?
Unfortunately we need to know the length of the stay, both for availability and price.
Many apartments have bookings for the following months, so it could happen that a house is available only one week, another a couple of days and so on.
That's why knowing the dates is important.

  • How far is Venice from the airport and how can I get in town from the airport?
  • Marco Polo Airport in Tessera is the proper Venice airport and it's about 13 km from Venice (the other one is Canova Airport in Treviso). This airport is not in Venice itself, of course, but it has access to water, so you can also reach Venice by water.
These are the transport options you have from Marco Polo Airport:

    1) Bus to/from Piazzale Roma:  Piazzale Roma is where the cars/busses stop in Venice. It's like a big parking space at the end of the bridge from the mainland. After that you can only walk or take a boat. There are two bus companies at the airport: ACTV with line 5 or ATVO with the airport express service.
ACTV line 5 takes about 25 minutes, leaves every 15 minutes and costs about 8 € one way / 15 € return.
ATVO takes about 20 minutes and leaves every half an hour. It costs about 8 € one way / 15 € return.

    2) Boat: takes you to different points in Venice (check here). It takes up to 1:15 hours according to where you go. It costs about 14 € one way / 25 € return. There is also a shared service which takes just 30 minutes but you may need to wait 40 minutes before it has enough customers. It costs about 21 € one way / 40 € return.

    3) Water Taxi: a Water taxi may be the most comfortable and elegant solution. Usually it costs 100 € and takes about 25/30 minutes depending on where you go.

How to choose? It really depends on where you go in Venice. If you are close to Piazzale Roma, consider the bus. If closer to San Marco prefer the boat.
Of course we will be happy to suggest you the best itinerary according to where your apartment is!
Most of the times the apartment owners will suggest too the best way and also offer a taxi service (water or road taxi) telling you where they will wait for you (usually not at the apartment but where you land so you don't get lost in the streets of Venice).

  • My flight/train back is late. Where can I leave the luggage?
Please ask for a late check-out. If available it may be the easiest way.
Otherwise leave the luggage at the Santa Lucia Railway Station which is open everyday from 6 am to 11 pm. One luggage costs 6 € for the first 5 hours, 0,90 € each extra hour until 12 hours and 0,40 € per hour after that.
In Piazzale Roma (busses and cars) you can leave your luggage for 7 € a piece for 24 hours.

  • How can I move once in Venice?
You can walk to pretty much the whole city or take a Vaporetto, which is like a public bus on water. If you wish to enjoy the sight, take the Turistico.
Gondolas are not usually used as transport means.

Sure, just send a request and we'll put you in contact with the Owners.

  • How does the payment work?
After the owner confirms the availability and the total price for the stay, he will also communicate the deposit that he wants to block the apartment.
We will collect the deposit via Bank, Paypal or Moneybookers.
This deposit is not refundable, unless the owner decides differently.
The remaining amount has to be paid directly to the owner, generally by Euro cash or sometimes credit card.

  • Where can I park in Venice?
If you wish to leave the car as close as possible to Venice itself in Piazzale Roma, Garage San Marco charges 30 € per 24 hours.
A bit further away but still at a walking distance there's the Tronchetto Parking with rates of 21 € per 24 hours.
Further back, before the bridge in the area called Via Righi you can park for 24 hours at about 5 €. To reach Venice you'll catch an easy bus, many are passing all the time.
You can also park in Mestre for 14 € and catch a train to Venice or use their shuttle service.
Or in front of the Venezia-Mestre railway station where you can catch a train: Parcheggio Gregory charges 12-15 € for all day until midnight.
